CHIMMONI WILDLIFE SANCTUARY Established in 1984,one of the four sanctuaries formed in October.
Geographic layout Area : Extending over 10sq.kms lies contiguous to Peechi-Vazhani.

FEATURES : Rich in scenic beauty and varied fauna like the Elephants,Sambars,Spotted Deer,Gaur,Malabar Squirrel,Sloth Bear etc.
Tourists can gain acess to the sanctuary from Amballur on the Ernakulam-Trichur road.
