Ingredients:
1. 250gms. fish slices gashed
2. ½ tsp oil
10gms. vermicelli
3. ½ cup water
salt to taste
4. 2 dsp. oil
5. ½ cup onions sliced long
½ tsp. ginger sliced long
½ tsp. garlic slices
6 green chillies, split at one end
½ tsp. peppercorns, each broken into 2
6. sufficient salt, vinegar, water and turmeric powder
7. ½ cup milk extracted from 1 cup of grated coconut
Serves: 4
Procedure:
Heat ½ tsp. of oil and fry the vermicelli without changing color. Boil ½ cup of water with salt and put the vermicelli in it. Cook and remove. Sauté the ingredients of item 5 without changing color. Add the fish slices, and the contents of item 6. Cover the pan and cook slowly. When the gravy thickens and coconut milk in which the cooked vermicelli is mixed. Simmer on mild heat without curdling. Remove from fire and serve hot. Coriander and mint leaves can be added. |
