For about two years there was no place of worship for the members of Syrian jacobite Church.The celebration of the passion week was held in the courtyard of the house of Mr.Geevarghese Kurian Kodiattu. After 20 yrs the church was handed over to community through a registerd document by Sri. Geevarghese Kurian.The first Vicar was Rev.Fr.Kurian Yakob.In the year 1088 the Syrian Jacobite Church was again divided as Patriarchal faction and Metran faction Kattapuram remain with Patriarchal faction. Later it was moved into the hands of Metran faction. |
